Accessibility statement
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Amaia sees people with disabilities as full users of our site and our product. We are committed to making both accessible, and to fixing any barrier that is brought to our attention.
The standard we build to
The English site of amaia.health is built to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, published by the W3C.
What we built
- A "Skip to content" link at the top of every page, revealed by the Tab key, so you don't have to go through the menu on every page.
- A clear heading structure on every page, so screen reader users can jump between sections.
- Every form field has a visible, persistent label, not a placeholder that disappears when you start typing.
- Required fields are marked with an asterisk and explained in text, not by color alone.
- Form errors are written in a live region that screen readers announce, and focus moves to the field that needs attention.
- Every link, button and field can be reached with the keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- The site respects your operating system's reduced motion setting, and it has no video or audio that plays on its own.
- Text color contrast meets the AA ratio.
- Images that carry meaning have a text alternative. Tables have header cells and a caption that screen readers read.
How we tested
- Automated testing with axe-core against all WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules, on every page of the English site, at desktop and phone widths. As of the date above, no issues are open.
- Keyboard-only use of the demo request form: focus order, reaching every field and the consent box, and error messages.
- Reflow at 320 pixels wide, the equivalent of 400% zoom, with no horizontal scrolling.
The site was tested in the engines behind Chrome and Edge (Chromium), Firefox, and Safari (WebKit), on desktop and phone sizes.
Known limitations
We have checked the information the browser passes to screen readers, but we have not yet run a full manual test with a screen reader such as NVDA or VoiceOver. That test is planned. Until it is done, there may be difficulties that automated testing does not catch.
Third-party content
The site has no comments, forums, open galleries or embedded content entered by others. All content and components are ours.
How we work with you
Amaia has no office that receives the public. Demos, onboarding, training and support are all remote: by phone, email and video call. If another channel works better for you, such as written-only communication, a call with your own interpreter, or materials sent in advance in an accessible file, tell us and we will adjust.
Contact us about accessibility
If something on the site is hard to use, please tell us. It is not a bother; it is the fastest way for us to find out. We fix it and update this page.
